Gluten-Free Homemade Twix Bar

We know these aren't exactly healthy but they are gluten-free & it is Halloween so why not treat yourself?

Base

Add to blender:

- 2 cups of flour

- 1 cup of butter

- 2 tbsp of maple syrup

Blend

- Roll the mixture and place in a tin lined with greaseproof paper

- Cook at 180C for 30minutes

Caramel

- 2 cups of sugar

- 1 cup of butter

- 1/2 cup of maple syrup

- 1 pinch of salt

- Heat all the ingredients in a steel pan until the caramel is completely dissolved and is boiling

- Pour over the short crust and let it set at room temperature for an hour

- Take it out of the tin and slice it

- Place in the freezer for 2hrs

Chocolate Coating

- Melt 500g of chocolate and 200g coconut butter in a bain-marie

- Pour over the frozen Twix Bars and let it set at room temperature before putting in the fridge

- Enjoy! :)
